Your vehicle has a camera and GPS tracking unit (tracker) installed. When the tracker detects a harsh driving event, a video recording of the incident is made.
The video is analyzed and classified by our software and then is available to watch on your desktop or on the Integrated Video app.
Video recordings are made when the tracker detects the following harsh driving events:
Hard acceleration - if the vehicle accelerates too quickly
Harsh cornering - if the vehicle turns a corner at high speed
Hard braking - if the vehicle slows down suddenly
- Sudden force - if the vehicle experiences a sudden force
Analysis and classification of videos
During the analysis, our software identifies any objects in the video. It is able to detect objects such as other vehicles, people and even animals.
The software calculates the chance of collision with an object, by measuring the speed and the direction the object is traveling.
Based on these measurements, the software analyses the incident and assigns one of the following classifications:
Collision - The vehicle may have collided with a person, vehicle or object.
Dangerous - The vehicle may have been involved in a dangerous situation.
Harsh Driving - The driving manner was causing undue wear and tear on the vehicle and there was an elevated risk of an accident.
Low Risk - The event that triggered the recording was just above the threshold to register as a harsh driving event. The analysis suggests that an incident was unlikely.
